Bicycling and Pedestrian Information - by the Transportation Planning Division.  Request a Broward County Bicycle Suitability Map, also available online at http://www.broward.org/transportationplanning/tpi02002.htm (scroll down to the sections, e.g., Southeast, and the color key is in the introduction http://www.broward.org/transportationplanning/tpi03900.pdf "Did you know that Broward County transit has bike racks on all their buses?  The SFEC TMA, in conjunction with the Town of Davie, wants to encourage bicycling and walking as alternatives to driving to campus.  There are fun, multi-purpose trails in and around the South Florida Education Center campus.

Free Emergency Ride Home - now available in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties.  If you are taking alternative forms of transportation, such as the FREE SFEC/Tri-Rail Express Bus, carpooling, bicycling, walking, or taking mass transit, at least twice a week as a student or three times a week as an employee, you qualify for the FREE Emergency Ride Home Program.  This program will provide up to six free emergency taxi rides per year to qualified commuters who register in advance with South Florida Commuter Services.  Call 1-800-234-RIDE (1-800-234-7433)

Ride Matching Services - by the South Florida Commuter Services http://www.1800234ride.com/ , offers free ride matching services to anyone who is interested in carpooling or vanpooling.  From the home page, just click the link that says "Carpooling" and scroll to the bottom to register.  For more information call South Florida Commuter Services at 1-800-234-RIDE (1-800-234-7433) and tell them that you are calling from the South Florida Education Center campus in Davie.
